Bernard Kerik

Bernard Kerik served as New York City police commissioner from 2000 through the end of 2001, overseeing police operations during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. In May 2003, Kerik traveled to Baghdad on behalf of the Bush administration, working five months as a senior policy adviser to the Iraqi Interior Ministry to help rebuild Iraq's emergency services as well as its customs, immigration and border forces.
