The content of this 60-second spot, titled "Heart," resembles Kerry's other early May 2004 spot, "Lifetime," but with his life story told by the senator, his former Navy crewmates, his daughter and his wife. Kerry notes his life of privilege, saying that he enlisted in the military "to give something back." He ends the commercial on an upbeat note, calling Americans a "can-do people," before an announcer notes his "lifetime of service and strength."
