PRIMARY RESULTS: John Kerry
John Kerry first gained national prominence as a U.S. war hero protesting the Vietnam War. Kerry served as a prosecutor and Massachusetts lieutenant governor and has been the Bay State's junior U.S. senator since his election in 1984.
