Grasshopper plague descends on Nevada, Arizona

LAUGHLIN, Nevada (CNN) -- They crept into people's pants and
shirts, flew through open windows and sometimes even blotted
out the double yellow line along roadways.
In what resembled a scene from a low-budget science fiction
film, millions of grasshoppers descended on this town in
southeastern Nevada, and Lake Havasu City in Arizona on
Monday.
The pale-winged critters sent cars skidding as the streets
became slick with squashed bugs, and there was a gruesome
"crunch" as people walked through the streets of Laughlin.
It was, truly, an invasion of the biblical kind, as Elizabeth
Reyes of KTNV found out on location.
