Mideast Snapshot - Waiting To Cross
Rafah Crossing, July 1, 2008. Palestinians wait to leave Gaza Strip to Egypt through the Rafah border crossing. Egypt opened Rafah Tuesday, Gaza's main gateway to the outside world, for two days to allow hundreds of people stranded on both sides to cross. (AP Photo/Khalil Hamra)
all the bleeding heart liberals who demand of israel to feed and supply Gaza, despite the terror attacks coming from there against israel, are suddenly quiet when Egypt closes the borders

hypocrits!!
I was thinking the exact same thing. Images of the egyptian soldiers using water-cannons against palestinians at the Rafah border crossing gathers no critique, however had it been Israeli soldiers engaging in the same precautionary activities said "liberals" would have opposed like nohing else.
I find it quite ignorant to compare both! The Israeli army is killing people in their own country that Israel has been trying to take over for years. On the other hand if Egypt did not control the people going in from Gaza, the whole population would flood into Egypt, which I am sure the Israelis would love...
to 2.36.that is exactly what is Israels plan.Egypt knows very well what is Israels intentions. If I was a Palestinian I will storm the border posts between Gaza and the rest of historical Palestine that will show the still sleepy world the real problem, and that is occupation and Israeli terror in front of the whole world.
Gaza is just one big jail/refugee camp. If the Israelis continue to forbid Palestinians to leave Gaza and Egypt continues to open their borders, most Palestinians will flee into Egypt. I would rather die than live in those conditions.
the gaza borders must stay closed until the Pals understand taht agreements need to be kept. but as long as they chose to violate the very ceasefire they demanded, let the borders stay shut. for 10 years, if neccessry!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hyprocrits?
Is Israel using water cannons?
Israel uses rubber coated steel bullets when there are foreigners around. If it's only palestinians they shoot live bullets.

Israel is illegally occupying land. That is an act of war. And Hamas is responding to that act of war.

Peace will come when palestinians are given the land they deserve, not a open-air prison.
alexk

peace will come when the pals stop promising more kidnappings, suicide bombings, the destruction of israel

peace will come when the pals keep agreements, stop firing rockets and mortars despite the "ceasefire" they themselves begged for

peace will come when the pals recognize that israel is there to stay

peace will come when the arabs realize that all the wars that they started brought them nothing but death, suffering (and delusions)

only then, ALEX, will peace come
