No Assad-Olmert Tete-A-Tete In Paris
There were hopes that Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert would meet face to face on the margins of the Mediterranean Summit in France next July 13th.French president Nicolas Sarkozy said a meeting between the two men in Paris would be a sign of "formidable progress." But the Syrian leader said in New Dheli today that there was "no point" in meeting his Israeli counterpoint now. Will there be a public handshake?
I agree with Basher Al-Assad. what is the point of meeting with Olmert? hand shakes between Arafat and Rabin,or between Abbas and Olmert brought only misery to the Palestinians.hand shakes and kisses will come after the Israeli leave occupied land including Jerusalem, and the Palestinians return to their homes.before that it is an Israeli propaganda stunt and we all know how good they are at that.
why re they so stubborn??? I wish Al Assad would finally do something for Syrian and become more open minded!!! And it is not only about being more open toward Israel, it is about being more open towards the whole world!! Let all Syrians enjoy this world ..until now, it is only possible/available for those with double citizenship!
I think there will be a political handshake.

The agreements between Prime Minester Nouri al Maliki and Prime Minester Recep Toyyip on all peacful economical and matters of state [as exposed on CNN,Iraq,Turkey security pact]is a great achievement ,if it materialize around the region in all forms of peace.[God is great, let's all say it, in the name of peace] L.M.Roure |
