Flying To Kuwait
I've just arrived in Kuwait, where the U.S. President touched down a few hours ago. Here are a few pictures of our journey. Filming a quick "piece to camera" before boarding the White House charter plane from Tel Aviv to Kuwait. (Photo Emily Schultze) By the way, there are no commercial flights linking Tel Aviv to Kuwait, so this was a first for me. Cameraman Khalil Abdallah took this photo of the onboard video map. --Posted by Hala Gorani in Kuwait
I have mixed feelings about it. It would have been nice if he had devoted as much time and involment to this as he has with Iraq. It's good that he plans on making return visits. I know we have a special relationship with Israel. However this is a very complicated issue with a long history and with new problems and players. I hope Abbas is honest and deals with Hamas. Of course I hope some day life on this planet goes beyond land and religion
This is the first time I see such route linking Tel Aviv to Kuwait City. Thanks for posting it in your blog. BTW, I'm from Kuwait and maybe one day we'll have commercial flights between the two cities together so that the visitors from Kuwait and other Gulf states can go Israel officially NOT secretly through a third country that already has diplomatic ties with Israel. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope that one day this whole mess in the Middle East is over. Yeah, that'll be the day!
