Mary Snow is a New York based correspondent for CNNs Situation Room. She covers a wide range of stories ranging from the economic impact of the financial crisis to environmental and security issues.
She also contributes to other programs on CNN, CNNI and HLN. Her assignments for the network have included the Penn State scandal and a number of political races, including being on the campaign trail for the 2008 presidential elections and covering the battleground state of Ohio for a series of in-depth reports leading up to Election Day.
She provided reports on the impact of BP oil spill and the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. As a reporter for the networks financial network, CNNfn, she covered markets, the economy, and a number of high profile white collar criminal trials.
Prior to joining CNN in 2002, she was a reporter and anchor for Yahoos FinanceVision. Based at the New York Stock Exchange, she covered the markets, economy and covered the attacks of September 11th.
Before becoming a reporter, she worked as a writer and producer in New York where she won two Emmy Awards.
Mary is a graduate of Fordham University and majored in political science and economics.
