Morgan Neill is CNNs Havana bureau chief and correspondent, responsible for the network's news coverage of Cuba.
Reporting in Havana since early 2006, Neill is the only American television correspondent based in Cuba. He reports in both Spanish and English and has covered many stories including the health crisis that forced President Fidel Castro to transfer power for the first time in 47 years.
Before heading to Havana, Neill reported for CNN from across Latin America, covering political unrest in Venezuela, a presidential election in Argentina and a mine disaster in Mexico.
Neill has also worked as a writer, copy editor and field producer for CNN International at CNNs world headquarters in Atlanta, where he worked on stories such as the subway bombings in London and Hurricane Katrina.
His career in journalism began in 2000 as a print reporter in Mexico City, where he covered the inauguration of President Vicente Fox.
Neill has a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia and a masters degree in international relations with distinction from Boston University.
