Michael Jones is a coordinating producer and anchor for CNNRadio Network. He joined the network in January 1987. Jones is responsible for making assignments to editors and reporters, reviewing anchor scripts, setting up live shots and interviewing newsmakers. Jones also anchors sports during morning drive time.
Jones has worked as a news and sports anchor at WPEZ-FM in Macon, Ga., and as a news reporter and sports anchor for WCNN-AM in Atlanta. From 1981-1985, Jones was a play-by-play announcer for West Georgia College's national champion football team and nationally ranked baseball and basketball teams.
Jones earned a bachelor's degree in communication from West Georgia College in 1985.
