Karyn Bryant is co-host for CNN Headline News' evening show, Showbiz Tonight, on Headline Prime. She is based in CNN's New York bureau.

Bryant's duties on Showbiz Tonight herald her return to Turner Broadcasting Inc., where she previously hosted TBS's Movies For Guys Who Like Movies and TNT's Rough Cut. In addition, she has appeared as a guest host on CNN's Talk Back Live.

Bryant's other hosting duties have included NBC's For Love Or Money Reunion Special, VH1's Name That Video and programs for TLC and the Hallmark Channel. For the FX network, Bryant originated Sound FX, a nightly live, hour-long program devoted to the music industry.

In 1999, she helped create a movie review Web show, "Chix On Flix," which was syndicated to several online content providers, such as Yahoo!, IWON.com and Ask Jeeves.

Bryant has hosted numerous special editions on TNT, including "Copland," "Inside the Academy Awards" and "The NATO/ShoWest Film Awards."

On the entertainment beat for more than 15 years, she has covered a variety of awards shows and conducted countless interviews. Bryant began her on-camera career as a video jockey on MTV after serving as a disc jockey and program director for WBRU in Providence, R.I.

She graduated with a double major in sociology and political science from Brown University.
