The Situation Online: Fred Thompson's cancer

Fred Thompson talks
Former Sen. Fred Thompson spoke out on a popular conservative blog about living with lymphoma. The "Law and Order" actor and potential GOP candidate wrote on RedState.com that he had "no illness ... or even any symptoms" from the form of cancer, and that his "life expectancy should not be affected" by the disease. On former Senator Bill Frist's blog, he writes that Thompson's disclosure indicates "his seriousness as a potential candidate."
