Lewis "Scooter" Libby
Libby bloggers' big dealThe
trial of Lewis "Scooter" Libby is the first federal case to grant bloggers access to the courthouse. Now those real-time reports are about to get a major boost online. The
Associated Press has
partnered with the
Media Bloggers Association, which holds two media seats in the trial, to distribute their
bloggers' posts to more than 750 news
Web sites across the country. In addition to the MBA's fifteen accreddited bloggers which span the political spectrum, three other seats --
two inside the court and
one live-blogging in the neighboring media room -- are reserved for three liberal bloggers credentialed for the trial.
