Erica Hill Cometh

Erica Hill
360 Correspondent

Hard to believe this is my last day at Headline News -- and that as of Monday, I will be a full time member of the AC 360 staff.

I am so excited about the move! I knew good things were in store, but when I read Anderson's blog entry from earlier this week and your responses, I really got pumped. You certainly know how to make a girl's day!

Thank you for all of your kind words and wishes. I have a great time doing cut-ins with Anderson every night, and am looking forward to making a bigger contribution to the show. I am joining an incredible team of journalists both in front of and behind the camera, and I know I will learn so much from all of them.

A warning to the 360 team, though: I'm bringing some fun with me. If you subscribe to my daily Prime News newsletter, you know all about the show team's exploits and our many potlucks. I even helped to start a band on my show once (can't imagine why we didn't get a record deal!) There's more to this gal than cut-ins and dramatic animal video!

Thanks again for the warm welcome - I'm looking forward to making the move official.

Hey Erica!

I am so excited to know that you will be a fulltime 360 correspondent. I also am a journalist( and you and I are even the same age!) and you do good work.

One of my favorite things about 360 is how Anderson and team do take some time to " lighten" the often heavy news cycle with featurse such as " The Shot" and " " What Were They Thinking?"

Good luck. I am sure you will be a great addition.

Hi Erica, welcome to 360! I'm so excited to see the show with you in it, besides the cut-ins and stuff. I hope you also blog here often like Anderson does. You know he promised to blog everyday, and I know he tries his best to do so. Can you please also make it a regular habit of blogging here? (Especially when he forgets? Hint...hint...Mr. Cooper... LOL!) :)

Seems like you guys have a great working relationship based on mutual respect and trust, not just with each other, but with the entire team of 360. That's truly a gift you're all blessed with. Cherish it everyday!

Many potlucks, huh? Sounds like fun! Hey, can I work with you guys? LOL!

Again, welcome!

Cheers :)

Dear Erica,

Congratulations on your first blog entry as a full time 360 family member! I am a HLN viewer and I subscribe to your newsletter, but it is about time that you had a larger role on AC360!

360 does have a team of first-rate journalists and your arrival will be a welcome addition!

I look forward to your contributions to 360 and I am counting on you to bring some of that HLN fun with you.

Try to keep Anderson in line!

I hope to see you post often on the 360 Blog!

Good luck!

Very Cool.

See, she should have been the one who was co-host with you for the New Year's show, not Kathy.

A very good addition.

I'm so excited about your move to 360. I love the witty conversation with Anderson and am looking forward to seeing more of it. Glad you are planning to bring the fun with you to NY. A great show is going to be even better.

Hi Erica,
Greetings from Ireland! Just because we're an ocean away doesn't mean we dont watch 360 religiously over here... Congratulations on your new job!!! I'm so jealous but I don't suppose the 360 crew would have much need for a paramedic so there wouldn't be any place for me on the team.. lol. Can't wait to see your contributions to the programme, you always make me laugh. Best o' luck with everything. I'm sure your gearing up for some kind of farewell shindig from headline news tonight. Enjoy!

Yay for Erica!

It's about time CNN recognized that you and Anderson were meant to be together on the same two have such great chemistry, it's obvious you like working with each other. I'm looking forward to Monday night!

Let's also hope this means you will host they next New Year's Eve show with Anderson too.

Hi Erica,

It will be so great having you as part of the 360 team. The banter between you and Anderson is one of the hightlights, for me, of the show.

WOW! How cool is this!? You and Anderson are my two favorite journalists on TV and (sometimes) the split screen interaction can be the "highlight" of the evening. Guess I better read the blogs on a regular basis. (I just started watching Prime News two weekends ago, just so I could catch your work!)

Hey Erica,

I am so glad that you are joining the 360 team. I think you are an awesome journalist and will bring a lot more to the show.
I have always watched your show and loved it.
I wish you all the best!

Oh and that newsletter idea sounds like a lot of fun.

I'm really excited about you being on 360. I think you'll be able to bring a lot of enthusiasm and, hopefully, humor, to the show. Somehow, that got downplayed this last year, the fun and excitement and enthusiasm that is what makes the best news programs amazing. I'm actually counting down the days 'til you're on!

Hi Erica,

I'd like to add my welcome to the long list of comments here. I hope the move turns out to be everything you wished for.

I wasn't able to watch your program on HLN because of the time it was on, but I've always enjoyed your segments on 360. Keep on keeping it real!

I have just recently started watching 360. I love Anderson but I keep watching because of the cut-ins with you 2.
Good luck, I look forward to watching more of you. And you rocked that mullett! That was a mullett on denying.

Erica, only you could look adorable in a lion's mullet! I am looking forward to watching you and Anderson together on 360. Being an animal rescuer, I am hoping that you will slip in an occasional "rescue a homeless animal plug" as I know you have cat and dog that are from shelters; don't let Anderson stop you... CONGRATULATIONS and I wish you and your family well in NYC!

Hi: Erica!
It took me more than ten min. to find out what happened to you because I caught only last few words of your farewell speach on CNN Headline. Didn't know the reason why you are emotional, although understood you were leaving for somewhere. Now I know you are going to a good team. Joining it will make the show more attractive cuz' you are one of most impressive personel showing on CNN. Can't wait to see your face on AC 360 and thank you for having given us (my wife and I) this much joy.

Hi Erica,

Potlucks?! If you can get Anderson to eat, more power to you! The 360 team isn't exactly band material, but they can bust a move with the best of them! I can't wait to tune in on Monday, it's obvious that there is so much more to you than cut-ins and dramatic animal video. Frankly, I think you'll be giving Katie Couric a run for the money!!!
