Gen. Petraeus' hearing was a joke. Did U hear some of these Senators? I mean, if you're not familiar with modern warfare, don't waste the taxpayers' time and money by convincing us of that pathetic fact.

OK, Im now sick of the hearings, not because I don't "believe" one side or the other, but because Congressmen shouldn't be lecturing the General and Ambassador. That's not what a hearing is. They should just be asking them questions.

Today is a day that many mourn the cowardly attacks of America 6 years ago. I am a troop that has devoted 18 of my life to the freedoms we all share today. Why is every news cast about Iraq always the bad news, never the good. We have done alot of good work here and the people see this and welcome us. The people see our politicians demanding a withdraw and they are withdrawn themselves because of fear we are going to leave them to fight terrorism alone. We must not forget what caused this and why we the soliers are here to get the job done. If the politicians think they can do it better they should grab some gear and get over here and show us. But as we know they wont because it is easier to sit at home and critisize us than to get their hands dirty. I hear all the comments made on how canidates sons are better serving their race for president than service in Iraq. What kind of message do you think that puts out to the thousands of families who has lost loved ones in this fight. Many back home are lining their pockets with the profits of this war both financialy and politicaly. You want to know how the country has improved than stop critisizing the general for telling the truth and get over here and see for yourself.

Let's not get lost in the politics of the house and senate hearings. No person involved will ever doubt the bravery of our troops. What needs to be conveyed is that the hearings and questions and comments are about the troops. To bring them home safe and sound. If our government and a political solution is no where close to being found, then our troops deserve better. They also deserve our elected officials to question the strategy. This is ALL ABOUT the lives of our troops. And as the presidents voice, Petraeus should be the one to take the hard questions and comments. The president will not come to our elected officials and take these tough questions. We are left with the General being that person. So please, let those we elected to be our voice question the one who the president selected as his voice. As as for moveon.org -- as much as I believe the ad lacked some decency, so to do those who speak out for conservatives (Ann Coulter, Bill O'Reilly, Michael Savage, etc) and they continue to get air time. So moveon has the right and freedom to speak their minds.

I'm glad you're doing good things in Iraq. If you believe you should help Iraq then move there, along with all the others that support this war. Yes there is good but the point is we SHOULDN'T be there.

Do you have any idea how much it cost to pay for this war? This is going to affect our country for 100s of years.

So if you believe god has you here to save Iraq move there and find a way to pay for this besides with our tax dollars that should be spent protecting and securing our own country.

For everyone that believes they will attack us, maybe but mostly likely not. They don't have a Army or Air force, they would have to swim over first.

Your blind faith is hurting our country.
