Shouldn't CNN's top 'story you're watching' be France's vote for conservative president Sarkozy?! All those disaffected youth in the Paris suburbs must not have thought it important enough to vote. This is great news for our alliance with France.

I'd like to hear more about the dangers Americans are facing because the national guard and much of its equipment is busy guarding the wrong nation (Iraq) rather than serving as our own first responders in natural disasters.

We are all much less safe because of our military adventurism overseas.

I agree that the French presidential election is an important story and should be covered. Also, could you please mention the South Pacific ban on deep sea bottom trawling (http://edition.cnn.com/2007/TECH/science/05/05/oceans.trawling.ap/index.html)? Despite being buried deep within the depths of the CNN website, this is actually an extremely important precendent-setting environmental story.

Although I am more interested in British politics, I agree with the other of the two Christinas and would like to see more news from across the pond; Britain, Ireland, France etc.

Greensburg, Kansas: Emergency Equipment to aid disaster not available.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims of the recent tornado in Kansas, Oaklahoma, and elsewhere. It must be a horrific and devastating experience. To be in the path of the storm is a nightmare I'm sure. But then to survive and realize you have no home to go to, no belongings, and now NO EQUIPMENT to help restore your homeland while still in grief and shock is unthinkable!

It appears President Bush's Priorities are totally skewed. New Orleans is still waiting to be restored while Bush is spending all his time fighting tooth and nail for more money to keep military fighting a useless war in Iraq. Go Figure?

One would think his American citizens would take priority over a war that has gone on for four long years with no progress and currently still has no chance of success. Yet, he can complain about the Democrats allotment to the pork industry! At least pork has money making potential. Iraq's only potential is the killing of more innocent people and military members and devouring the US Economy. Stuck on Moronics, Werks for me.
