I think it's crazy for taxpayers to pay for concicted congressmen's pension. If they are convicted of a crime, that should void their pension.

Thank you for the article on the subway rescue. Reading about that wonderful man has taken some of the edge off the anger that flashed through me upon reading Bush's hypocritcal comments about "spending the taxpayer's money wisely" and building bipartisan cooperation. What he means is that if the Democrats, like the Iranians, agree to his terms, he will do business with them. And chiding others to be careful with taxpayer's money when his administration has wasted billions of our precious tax dollars on bungled Katrina relief? What a nerve. I am coming to think that instead of O'Reilly, Stephen Colbert is really parodying Bush and his version of truthiness. That is, if I say it, then it must be true. I will be on my knees for the next two years praying for deliverance and patience.

Okay, so perhaps I'm a bit skeptic, but why is Pat Robertson so concerned about his track record on his predictions? He should be preaching the word of God, not feeding us with his doom and gloom. I much rather see him leg press 1,000 lbs. again. At least I'd get a good laugh out of it!

The Hussein article you link quotes 'Iraqi officials' stating they will be 'very careful' in conducting upcoming executions...

We'll watch the most violent movies imaginable, but get all prudish when it's a real video. And 300 lb. thugs in medieval masks and Members Only jackets are such a nice touch. Please don't change a thing.

God told ME not to listen to Pat Robertson!

Does anyone at CNN care to get a comment from past Iraqi Information Minister Muhammed Saeed al-Sahaf on the execution of Saddam Hussien? it would be hilarious to hear who he thinks may have been excuted.

It's nice to hear the story of Wesley Autrey. A man who thought of others, first. No political motive, no "what's in it for me" attitude, just, I'm needed and I acted. It's one positive moment for the New Year. Let's hope there are more. Take Care

So how about having Pat Robertson head Homeland Security? Hopefully, this prediction will be as unfulfilled as his previous ones. He should stick to admitting that he was wrong about global warming (I never thought I'd agree with him on anything until he opened his eyes on that one), and then just shut up. Of course, windbags like Robertson, O'Reilly, and Limbaugh would get less power if the other media outlets just ignored their stupidity.

Several years ago, I was visiting family in Florida right around the time Disney had said that gays and lesbians could hold an event for gay pride at the theme park. Robertson literally went on an extra-bizarre rant that this would bring all kinds of biblicalesque weather plagues--I think locusts even entered into the picture-- to Florida. There was a funny cartoon in the paper with a news anchor saying, "And now to Pat Robertson with the weather report..."

As for Bush, I guess he is trying another preemptive strike, this time with his legacy. But people aren't stupid, and we know when and how this debt started. Of course, he has already said that he (mistakenly) believes it is his presidential perogative to ignore any part of bills he wants with a signing statement. Wonder how he'd feel if, say, President Obama or President Edwards tries to do the same thing.

I would like to personally thank that person in Iraq for recording this vedio! Saddam had 30 years to mold Iraq into a peaceful and beautiful country. Instead he built and empire for his family, stole the medicine, and money, that the world sent over to help the people of Iraq, mass execution of people that spoke against him, and last which stick out loud, laugh at those families that were directly effected by his mass killings during his last minuets of life. If I had a chance, I would give him a peace of my mind too.

These guys continue revenue bilking from the public because they hire ex-gov.lawyers,ex-gov employees; etc., to win the battles. It is very simple, follow the money. I knew a guy once, he quoted to me, "If i were elected to office, you don't have to pay me; I'll be OK. Follow, let your imagination do the rest. The American people continue downhil because of this and big Corps attitude toward the working man. Anyone that is "Not in the Loop"; stands no chance. George Bush and those much smarter than he, have the power. Maybe it is time for a revolution.

The 'subway rescuer' is a true hero. Too often we label people heroes for doing things most Americans would go out of their way and do. However, I don't know anyone who would jump onto a subway track and tuck a total stranger to safety.

Just for the record, I read another account of the Mr. Autrey to the rescue story that said he was a Navy Vet. Guess that training paid off.

Pat Robertson needs psychiatric help! Did God bother to tell him how to prevent it?

The bold predictions from Robertson really tense my nerve, we've been trying to bounce back from that horrible 911, we are too vulnerable to get ourselves prepared for another looming tragety. God must have his reasons to make this decision, but if this is a call to warn us, we'd better watch out and hold on to our prayers.

Even I've got a better track record for predictions than Pat Robertson. I'm a Buddhist, so God hasn't talked to me in years.

Beware of anyone who states that God talks to them, and even more so when God talks to them conveniently at the beginning of each new year when "predictions" are such a hot topic in the media. Pat Robertson is as bad as Donald Trump. Publicity anyone?

1) At last, some good news!!! BRAVO to the man who saved the teen's life.

2) They should put a warning on bench-press machines. "Warning! If you bench-press more than 1000lbs, you are at risk of bursting a vein wich could lead you to think God is calling you with bad news!!!" Question: Does God call him collect or does he have a plan "illimited calls between 8pm & 8am"?
