Anderson is interviewing Iraq Study Group co-chairmen James Baker and Lee Hamilton any moment now. We will post excerpts here as soon as they are available.

All the report is doing is documenting what we already have known. Instead of wasting time with reports, let's bring our troops home and let Iraq take care of itself. Iraq was never our country to save to begin with.

The report is a clear rejection of the administration's foreign policies, particularly in the middle east, and a broad indictment of the president's lack of leadership.

Get out, Get out, Get out now. It's about the Shia vs the Sunni. It's always about those two in conflict. Now they get to blaim the US for their problems.
We need to get ready for the big one, Islamic Jihad, world wide. It is coming!

Last year when I mentioned the fact that our leaders seem to fail to realize that the entire ME didn't eat ham, my rotated out kid responded with:
I do not like Green Eggs and Ham,
I do not like them Uncle Sam, I am
I will not eat them in the sand,
I do not like the Uncle Sam.

Here's hoping Anderson asks the obvious question that needs to be asked:

Why not a specific date to a start of the withdrawal of troops? 2008 is not good enough. Regarding J Owen's comment, it's like that kid, who is now 35 years old and never wants to leave home....they need to swift kick in the butt and told to become self sufficient. We need to leave that country and I have all faith in the Iraqi people that they will be able to survive and rebuild.

But I will leave that to the professionals and keep my fingers crossed when I watch tonight.

Yawwwwn

Is this what the entire show is going to be about tonight?

You realize that you have fallen to peer pressure....if everyone else jumps off a bridge, do you have to also?

I think I'm going to watch reruns of Law and Order tonight.

This is exactly why the ratings don't indicate "phenomenon".

to J. Owen, Charlotte, NC :

Well said!

To EM in Canada:

Most of us here in America DO actually care about what is going on in Iraq and with the Iraq Study Group. Since the US has troops in Iraq, we like to know what progress is being made and what can be done better. I hope the whole show IS about the ISG because it is important for US citizens to understand the measures that are being taken to stabilize Iraq and try and get our troops home.

Iraq Study Group Reaction

Jim Baker is [in]famous for his anti-Israel position.. not to mention a Partner, along with the Bushes and Saudi Friends, in The Carlyle Group.

Now, he/the 'study group' suggests, Israel must put the Golan Heights on the table for Peace in Iraq!

Huh!

The ISG may matter. What matters more is that Bush truly understand that Iraq is where ii is because of him and his administration.

Let's not forget Iraq was a stable, functioning state before the US invasion.

Now we even hear calls for a strong man. Sounds like full circle to me. Although their strong man sits on death-row in the end this may be the solution.

This is just an observation, but if Mr. Bush doesn't get those troops out of Iraq they could become as mentally disturbed as the people they're fighting. After awhile they've got to think all IS fair in war.
I'm beginning to think the young Americans hiding here in Canada have the right idea, they've been there done that and are trying to save their sanity.

These two leaders (Bush & Blair) are certifiable!! And our Prime Minister loves Bush and wants to please him! Where does that leave Canada now too??
