Detour

Ever look in the mirror and want to punch it? At Seoul's Kim Jae Wook Hair Salon, you can polish your upper hook and spruce up your image. Kim, a professional stylist and former prizewinning pugilist, hooked up a punching bag in his salon two years ago. "It was a hit with all the women," he says. Customers are welcome to go a few rounds with the bag while they wait for a facial or a trim. Prices start at $8.50 for a basic haircut and $30 for a deluxe version with head massage and styling. Use of the punching bag is free. Kim's salon is located in the city's trendy Yangjae area, and a chop and a bop can be booked by calling 822-578-2237.
