WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Many people who knew Bill Bradley as a young man are not surprised to see him run for president. By his mid-20s, Bradley already was getting attention as an athlete, scholar, and community activist. In 1968, the U.S. Information Agency commissioned a short film on Bradley, showcasing him to the world as an example of American idealism and compassion. Here's an excerpt from the black-and-white film entitled "Old Young Man."
