WASHINGTON (July 27) -- A heightened profile on domestic and foreign policy
might be the next presidential campaign technique of Vice President Al Gore.
As Gore took the lead at the White House Tuesday on talks with Russian Prime Minister
Sergei Stepashin and Republican tax cuts, his presidential campaign is struggling with internal
conflicts and low poll numbers.
