SAN MARINO, California (AllPolitics, March 17) -- Paula Jones and her husband, Steve, are living apart but will remain married and be reunited in Arkansas sometime in the future, according to a spokeswoman for Mrs. Jones.

Paula Jones allegations of sexual harassment by President Bill Clinton helped fuel the investigation of Independent Counsel Ken Starr.

Attorney Susan Carpenter-McMillan spoke to reporters Wednesday on behalf of Paula Jones and read a statement from her.

"While it is true that we are physically separated so that I could get the kids in school in Arkansas and be around my family and friends, and that there has been a lot of stress through this whole ordeal, we are not legally separated," Carpenter-McMillan read.

"Also, we did not agree on every single detail regarding the case, but did have frank and honest discussions concerning the Clinton matter and did our best to make the right decisions," Jones' statement said.

Carpenter-McMillan also dismissed rumors about Paula Jones signing a contract with a psychic hotline.

In a statement Jones said: "I have not, nor will I ever do anything, with a psychic hotline."

Paula Jones and her two sons are currently living at her mother's one-bedroom home in Arkansas, but will soon move to a house she recently bought 10 miles away.

Steve Jones will remain in the Los Angeles area for an undetermined amount of time, but does plan to join his wife and sons in Arkansas, according to Carpenter-McMillan. He is currently contesting his dismissal from a job as a counter clerk with Northwest Airlines. Northwest fired him last year.

Carpenter-McMillan addressed the media at her San Marino home, near Los Angeles.
