WASHINGTON (AllPolitics, February 22) -- In the strictly unofficial competition for media attention at the four-day winter meeting of the National Governors' Association (NGA) possible presidential candidate George W. Bush has an impressive rival: Jesse Ventura.

Ventura has a busy schedule in Washington including a turn speaking before the National Press Club. And as CNN's Bruce Morton explains, unlike his Texas counterpart the governor of Minnesota is not at all coy about his fondness for the national spotlight.
