Fox seeks interview with Monica Lewinsky

LOS ANGELES (AllPolitics, October 8) -- The Fox Network is negotiating with representatives of ex-White House intern Monica Lewinsky trying to secure an interview, a Fox representative said Thursday.

Fox spokesman Tom Tyrer confirmed to CNNfn reports that Fox is in talks with Lewinsky's agent about a possible deal.

Tyrer said the talks are ongoing. He would not say specifically when the discussions started, but added, "It would be safe to say months."

He pointed out that several media companies are in discussion with Lewinsky in what he called a very much fluid situation and he didn't know how long Fox's negotiations with the former White House intern will last.

No dollar figure was mentioned.

Previously, talk show host Oprah Winfrey said she was dropping out of the running for the first television interview with Lewinsky. Winfrey said Lewinsky wanted money and she would not pay for the interview.

Comedienne Roseanne, who also has a talk show, said her producers had offered Lewinsky $1 million to Lewinsky for an appearance on Roseanne's show.
