NEW YORK (Allpolitics, Aug 23.) -- A movie that isn't even in theaters is what Americans wanted to see this weekend.

Video stores scrambled to meet the demand for "Wag The Dog," a 1997 political movie that now seems eerily familiar. The movie concerns a president who creates a fake war to divert public attention from a sex scandal.

Correspondent Cynthia Tornquist reports on the relationship between a movie and real-life events.
