White House Scandal At A Glance: March 11

Today's developments:

  • Prosecutors from the office of Independent Counsel Ken Starr have approached President Bill Clinton's lawyers about the possibility of Clinton being asked to testify before the Monica Lewinsky grand jury. Senior advisers to the president, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said Clinton's attorneys have not formally responded to the overture.

  • White House secretary Betty Currie, who was expected to testify before the grand jury on Wednesday, will probably not appear until next week, sources tell CNN.

  • Presidential confidant Bruce Lindsey remains on notice that he is likely to be recalled to testify perhaps as early as Thursday, according to sources.
