Will we see Fidel bare-chested in George magazine?

NEW YORK (AllPolitics, Oct. 24) -- Almost 35 years after his commander-in-chief father weighed a nuclear strike against Cuba, John F. Kennedy, Jr. is visiting the island nation as a journalist.

A spokesman for Kennedy, founder and editor of George magazine, would only confirm that he was indeed in Cuba. An Associated Press reporter established that he was registered at the luxurious Melia-Cohiba Hotel in Havana.

It was on Oct. 22, 1962, when President John F. Kennedy ordered a blockade to prevent Soviet missiles from being delivered to Cuba. In what is considered the closest the two world superpowers came to nuclear war, Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev blinked first, and recalled the shipments.
