The Christian Coalition And George Bush: The Documents
The first document is a letter from Christian Coalition president Pat Robertson to Bush campaign chairman Robert Teeter, asking that 39 coalition members be appointed as Bush-Quayle '92 co-chairmen.
Next up is a one-page memo to Mary Matalin, informing her that 31 of the 39 have been placed, and that the other eight will be soon.
The third document set gives details on the informal poll that Robertson conducted among viewers of "The 700 Club," which showed the pro-choice Perot pulling 40 percent support.
Here's a note from the coalition's Ralph Reed to Matalin, proposing some questions and answers that Robertson and George Bush could use during an upcoming interview. It is a one-page note followed by 4 pages [ 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 ] of questions and answers.
Next is an agenda Reed sent to Matalin (and signed by Robertson) that lists "Voter Guide Preparation and Distribution" as a talking point for an upcoming meeting. It's four pages [ 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 ] total.
