This map shows in yellow which countries have ratified the treaty and in purple the countries which have only signed the treaty as of April 23, 1997.
Countries in tan are those countries that are thought to have aggressive chemical weapons programs but have not signed the pact -- so-called "rogue states." Countries in green are not thought to have such programs.
