Whitewater Jury Recesses For Weekend
LITTLE ROCK, Ark (AllPolitics, May 17) -- The jury in the Whitewater case did not reach a verdict today after deliberating all day and five hours Thursday, and the judge sent them home for the weekend. The 12-person panel was instructed not to discuss the case and will reconvene Monday at 9:30 a.m. Separately, a federal appeals court ruled against several media companies, including CNN, that sought immediate access to President Bill Clinton's videotaped Whitewater testimony. The panel deferred to the U.S. District Judge George Howard, who is presiding over the case, saying he has not decided what should happen to the tape. Related Stories:
