Trump delivered a major speech Wednesday

He's trying to get his campaign back on track after stumbles

CNN  —

After being roasted, again, by Hillary Clinton in a speech on Tuesday, Donald Trump on Wednesday returned the favor – firing off a series of attacks on the presumptive Democratic nominee.

The CNN Reality Check team is vetting the more specific accusations, but Trump’s remarks were flush with the brand of insults and zingers that have become his trademark.

Here are 15 of his most cutting barbs:

1. “Hillary Clinton as you know, as most people know, she’s a world class liar.”

2. “Look at her pathetic email server statements, or her phony landing in Bosnia where she said she was under attack and the attack turned out to be young girls handing her flowers, a total and – look, this was one of the beauts – a total and self-serving lie. Brian Williams’ career was destroyed for saying less.”

3. “Hillary Clinton has perfected the politics of personal profit and even theft.”

4. “Hillary Clinton may be the most corrupt person ever to seek the presidency of the United States.”

5. “She ran the State Department like her own personal hedge fund – doing favors for oppressive regimes, and many others, and really, many many others, in exchange for cash.”

6. “(Big money interests) totally own her, and that will never, ever change, including if she ever became President, God help us.”

7. “She believes she is entitled to the office.”

8. “She thinks it’s all about her.”

9. “She gets rich making you poor.”

10. “…a disgraceful performance (her service as secretary of state) for which she should not be congratulated, but rather scorned.”

11. “No secretary of state has been more wrong, more often, and in more places than Hillary Clinton.”

12. “Her decisions spread death, destruction and terrorism everywhere she touched.”

13. “She lacks the temperament, the judgment and the competence to lead.”

14. “Hillary Clinton’s tryout for the presidency has produced one deadly foreign policy disaster after another.”

15. “Hillary Clinton’s message is old and tired.”
