Donald Trump talking to House GOP July 7

Washington (CNN)Donald Trump will address House Republicans July 7, a top House Republican staffer said Tuesday, fulfilling a request House Republicans made shortly after Trump became the presumptive nominee.

House GOP members expect to hear from the presumptive Republican presidential nominee about his proposed policies and hear plans to unite the party, an aide to House Republican Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers told CNN.
Details of where the meeting will take place were not immediately available.
The gathering will come shortly before Republicans meet in Cleveland for their convention and not long after one of Trump's rockiest weeks, which saw House Speaker Paul Ryan dub his comments about Judge Gonzalo Curiel "textbook definition of a racist comment."
And more recent comments Trump has made might not be helping his relationship to members of his own party. Rep. Adam Kinzinger, an Illinois Republican, said Tuesday it was "tacky" when Trump took credit for predicting the Orlando terror attack and said he still has concerns about Trump.
"If he comes I guess I would hope he would say 'I want to work with your agenda,'" Kinzinger said. "We're not asking him to change who he is, but sound presidential and work into the role of leader."
