Before gracing the stage at the Coachella music festival in California on Saturday, the rap duo Run the Jewels received a video introduction from their preferred presidential candidate, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.
"One of the highlights of running for president over the course of this last year has been getting to know Killer Mike," the Democratic White House hopeful said. "El-P, keep up the great work and let's get to know each other better in the months to come."
    Killer Mike, the Georgia native and Southern rap icon, has been a prominent Sanders supporter, speaking on the trail and interviewing the Vermont senator in Killer Mike's barbershop.
    El-P, a Brooklyn resident who raps and produces, has also expressed his support for Sanders.
