'Hannibal' auction is bloody good to Twitter

Story highlights

  • An auction house is selling items from three seasons of the show
  • Fans of the cult hit are lusting after some of the items

(CNN)An auction of items from the now-canceled NBC series "Hannibal" has fans far from silent as lambs.

The Prop Store is auctioning off items from all three seasons of the series, which was canceled in 2015. The prequel to the film "Silence of the Lambs," the show had a cult following. It starred Laurence Fishburne, Hugh Dancy and Mads Mikkelsen as Dr. Hannibal Lecter.
Now, admirers can own a piece of the show, including Hannibal's apron and recipes or a bloody shirt and pants from the fan favorite episode "Apéritif." And, naturally, there are knives.
Of course Twitter is all over it, though one fan has a suggestion: "Don't sell the props, make a season four instead."
