Lebanon: 5 kidnapped Czech citizens freed

(CNN)Six months after they were abducted, five Czech citizens have been freed, Lebanese state media reported.

The Czechs and their local driver were kidnapped in Lebanon's Bekaa Valley last July, Lebanon's official National News Agency said.
The Czechs were handed over to Lebanese security forces Monday, the agency said. But no information was given about the captors or how the release was secured.
In July, Czech Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Michaela Lagronova said a "massive" operation was underway to find the missing.
The Czech government was informed by Lebanese authorities about the missing citizens.
