Kanye West and Wiz Khalifa got into a Twitter spat

The women in their lives may have cleaned it up

CNN  —

Kim Kardashian and Amber Rose appear to have made up.

At least that’s what we think TV personality Kardashian meant when she posted an Instagram selfie with the model overnight.

The two women didn’t start the feud, and it wasn’t about them – at first. It was caused by the men in their lives.

Why did the women even get involved?

First, a short history of their dating patterns. It’s important for the sake of this latest kerfuffle to know that Kardashian is married to Kanye West, who used to date Rose. Rose was also married to rapper Wiz Khalifa, and they have a 2-year-old son.

The Twitter battle started last week when Khalifa criticized West for titling his upcoming album “Waves,” a name that Khalifa said belonged to rapper Max B.

“Max B is the wavy one. He created the wave,” Khalifa tweeted. “There is no wave without him.”

West got angry with Khalifa for using the letters “kk” in his tweets, believing Khalifa was referencing Kardashian.

But Khalifa was using slang for marijuana.

Never mind. West spent Wednesday afternoon posting more than 30 tweets that took issue with Khalifa’s music, clothes and personal relationships, seemingly referencing Rose and their son.

“You wouldn’t have a child if it wasn’t for me” and “I own your child!!!!” West tweeted.

Rose didn’t care for West mentioning her child on social media. She also wrote an explicit tweet about West’s sexual preferences.

Later, West denied her recollections of his preferences, but he did apologize for bringing a child into the feud.

“God’s dream… Never speak on kids again… all love … all blessings,” West tweeted on Friday night.

That was the scene when Kardashian posted her Instagram selfie with Rose.

Her selfie, posted Tuesday morning, included “Tea anyone?” as the caption. Rose also posted the photo, adding “Swingers” for the caption.

West finally said the feud was over Tuesday afternoon, via Twitter of course: “Me and Wiz spoke yesterday. Great convo. All positive.”

No Khalifa tweets on Tuesday about their relationship. But he did mention his new album will be released on Friday.
