Report: Pentagon used Christian charity to spy on North Korea

Washington, D.C. (CNN)On "The Lead" we interviewed the author of a new report in The Intercept that suggests the Pentagon and defense intelligence officials used the cover of a Christian charity to spy on North Korea over the course of nearly 10 years starting in 2004. The U.S. government involvement in the operation, which funneled everything from Bibles to communications equipment into North Korea, was a closely guarded secret kept even from most workers at the charity, the Humanitarian International Services Group.
