- Taylor Swift and Lisa Kudrow perform duet of "Smelly Cat"
- Kudrow's character Phoebe sang the ditty on "Friends"
But it was her ode to an odoriferous cat that had everybody talking.
Midway through her set at Los Angeles' Staples Center, Swift brought out actress Lisa Kudrow for a loose rendition of "Smelly Cat," the song Kudrow's ditsy Phoebe character famously sang on "Friends."
The audience erupted in cheers and laughter as the two women strummed acoustic guitars while singing the brief ditty, which starts out, "Smelly cat, smelly cat -- what are they feeding you?"
Midway through the song Kudrow interrupted Swift to "criticize" her singing, telling her, "I'm sorry. That was good, but you have to really feel the lyrics."
In recent weeks, Swift's concerts have included cameos by enough celebrity guests to fill a week's worth of late-night talk shows. Among them: Ellen DeGeneres, Chris Rock, Julia Roberts
, John Legend, Alanis Morissette, Natalie Maines (The Dixie Chicks), Mary J. Blige, Fetty Wap, Joan Baez, NFL star Russell Wilson and Kudrow's "Friends" co-star Matt LeBlanc.
The U.S. leg of Swift's "1989" tour wraps October 31 in Tampa, Florida.
