5 things to know for your New Day -- Thursday, July 16

(CNN)Donald Trump is Richie Rich rich. Bill Clinton admits a mistake. And Caitlyn Jenner says accept her as she is.

It's Thursday, and here are five things to know for your new day.

2016

'TEN BILLION DOLLARS': That's how much Donald Trump is worth, or at least, that's what his campaign -- in a less-than-humble statement -- says he's worth. Trump turned in his personal financial disclosure to the Federal Election Commission, but as of last night it wasn't yet on the FEC website. When asked for a copy of the full disclosure, campaign officials told CNN to request it from the FEC. Trump also loaned his campaign $1.8 million and had raised $92,000 from donors.

    CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM

Mea culpa: Did Bill Clinton make the nation's criminal justice system worse by increasing prison sentences in the 1990s? He says he did. The former president told the NAACP's convention in Philadelphia yesterday that the omnibus crime bill he signed in 1994 -- which included the federal "three strikes" provision -- "made the problem worse. And I want to admit it." Clinton said the bill helped reduce crime, but it also saddled far too many people with lengthy prison sentences for relatively minor drug crimes.

    CAITLYN JENNER

Big night: Caitlyn Jenner received several standing ovations last night when she accepted the Arthur Ashe Courage Award during ESPN's ESPY awards ceremony. Jenner, in her first speech since ID'ing as transgender, said she wants to "reshape the landscape of how trans issues are viewed." Jenner, a former Olympian, emphasized her message was about acceptance. "It's about all of us accepting one another. We're all different. That's not a bad thing. That's a good thing."

    GEORGE H.W. BUSH

Get well soon: Former President George H.W. Bush fell yesterday at his summer home in Maine. He broke a vertebrae in his neck but his injury is not life threatening. He was taken to a hospital in Portland and is listed in stable condition. The 91-year-old ex-president appeared at several events in Maine last week with donors to son Jeb Bush's presidential campaign.
