Lindsey Graham headed to Iowa

Washington (CNN)Sen. Lindsey Graham is making his first trip to Iowa next week to test the waters for his potential presidential bid.

According to the Washington Post, the South Carolina Republican is meeting with local activists and other Iowa Republican leaders in the all-important first caucus state next Thursday and Friday.
While Graham is no stranger to Iowa, having campaigned there for now-Sen. Joni Ernst last year, it's his first trip to the state since launching a presidential exploratory committee last month. He's said he believes his experience on foreign policy makes him a unique and viable contender in the ever-growing GOP primary field.
Though no candidate has announced plans to run yet, Iowa is already seeing a steady stream of potential contenders, with Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul visiting last week and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio stopping there this week.
