Mitt Romney will address the Republican National Committee on Friday night at the committee’s winter meeting, an RNC source tells CNN. The remarks will be open press.

Other potential 2016ers planning to address the RNC this week include Dr. Ben Carson, Gov. Scott Walker, R-Wisconsin, and Gov. Rick Perry, R-Texas. All three of those hopefuls will address the RNC in open press sessions.

Romney vs. Bush: The establishment match-up

Romney was invited to the event after he conveyed interest in a third presidential bid during a meeting with potential supporters and donors last Friday.

The winter meeting is scheduled to take place from Wednesday, Jan. 14 to Friday, Jan. 16.

Romney’s expected attendance was first reported by The Washington Post.
