(CNN) -- Two stars are asking TMZ to take down video of the Tracy Morgan crash scene.

Comedian and actor Louis C.K. and powerhouse director/writer/producer Judd Apatow have both used their Twitter accounts to ask the celebrity gossip site to remove video taken moments after a crash that killed comedian James McNair and injured Morgan and others.

On Wednesday Louis C.K. tweeted "Take it down TMZ. Now. Please" with a link to a Laughspin.com story about comic Ardie Fuqua's daughter, Krizya Fuqua, requesting the video be removed. Fuqua, who has appeared on Louis C.K.'s hit FX series "Louie," was critically injured in the crash.

The story references an Instagram account reportedly belonging to the younger Fuqua which contains a posting saying, "I honestly would like to petition for TMZ to remove this video. They don't understand how hurtful it is to see my father be dragged out of the wreckage."

Louis C.K. also tweeted "Arte's brave daughter asked them to take it down. They won't" and "Please don't go to TMZ to watch the video. Please ask them to take it down. @TMZ "

Apatow, best known for overseeing such TV shows as "Freak and Geeks" and films such as "Bridesmaids," appealed directly to Harvey Levin, the founder of TMZ.

"@HarveyLevinTMZ please take down the accident video," Apatow tweeted.

Neither TMZ or Levin responded on Twitter to the tweets.

Morgan, Fuqua, Jeffrey Millea and Harris Stanton were all injured in the crash, which occurred on the New Jersey Turnpike after a truck smashed into the limo bus carrying the group.

On Wednesday the truck driver, Kevin Roper, pleaded not guilty to charges of vehicular homicide and assault by auto.
