Suicide bombing kills 2 police officers in eastern Afghanistan

At least two police officers were killed and three others were wounded in a suicide bombing in eastern Afghanistan, police said Thursday.

The attacker rammed his explosives-laden truck into a police security tower in Pachiragam district of Nangarhar province early Thursday, Hazrat Husain Mashriqiwal, a provincial police spokesman, told CNN.

The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement to the media.
