(CNN) -- A Utah-bound Delta flight was diverted to Chicago O'Hare International Airport on Saturday afternoon after the flight crew was notified of an engine issue, according to a Delta spokesperson.

Flight 498 left John F. Kennedy International Airport and was en route to Salt Lake City when the crew was notified of an oil level problem in the left engine, said Morgan Durrant.

The crew landed safely in Chicago, where mechanics will examine the Boeing 757-200.

Delta says, if needed, it will put the 92 passengers on another flight.
