(CNN) -- More than 100 law officers continued a nationwide manhunt for an armed bank robber suspected of shooting two Tupelo, Mississippi, police officers, one of them fatally, the FBI said Thursday.

The bank robbery in Tupelo turned into a shootout Monday afternoon, and the robber or robbers escaped and remain at large, the FBI said.

The FBI, local banks and business are offering a more than $150,000 reward leading to the identification and capture of the bank robber, the FBI said.

The suspect was driving a gray sedan as he fled eastbound on Carnation Street in Tupelo, the FBI said.
