18 dead in Christmas Day attacks near Iraq churches

A car bomb exploded outside a church in southern Baghdad just as worshipers were leaving a Christmas Day service, killing 14 people and wounding 31 others, police said.

It was one of two attacks in the al-Dora district Wednesday.

In the day's second attack, four people were killed and 18 wounded when another car bomb went off at an outdoor market where many Christians shop, police said.
