Iraqi defense minister unhurt as convoy hits roadside bomb

(CNN) -- A convoy carrying Iraqi Defense Minister Saadoun Al-Dulaimi was hit by an roadside bomb Tuesday, but he was unhurt, officials said.

The attack took place on the main road between Fallujah and Ramadi, injuring two of the minister's security guards, ministry spokesman Mohammed al-Askari said.

The blast also damaged one of the vehicles in the convoy.
