(CNN) -- The death of a man outside the Kansas City Chiefs' stadium during an NFL game there Sunday has been ruled a homicide, Kansas City police said Wednesday.
The medical examiner in Missouri's Jackson County, who made the ruling, still has to determine the cause of death, Kansas City police spokesman Darin Snap said.
Police said a man died after he got into a struggle with another person in a parking lot near the Chiefs' Arrowhead Stadium. The struggle happened while the Chiefs played the Denver Broncos.
Three people were in police custody in connection with the case, police said earlier.
