(CNN) -- Ten children and an adult suffered minor injuries when a school bus rolled into a ravine in the Baltimore area Friday morning, a fire official said.

Six of the injured, including the adult, were taken to local hospitals, said Michael Robinson, a division chief of the Baltimore County Fire Department.

The bus was heading south on a two-lane road about 10 miles north of Baltimore when it rolled, coming to rest on its side in the ravine, Robinson said. An emergency dispatcher received a 911 call about the crash at 7:26 a.m.

All aboard the bus were able to leave the vehicle on their own, Robinson said. No other vehicles were involved, he said.
