(CNN) -- Eight boaters missing off Honduras since Sunday have been found, and a rescue is under way, the U.S. Coast Guard announced Wednesday.
The boaters included five Hondurans, a Canadian and two Americans. A Coast Guard helicopter had lifted four of the boaters to safety late Wednesday morning, said Lt Cmdr. Gabe Somma, a Coast Guard spokesman.
They were found about 66 miles off the Honduran island of Roatan, where they set out Saturday in a 28-foot power boat. They were reported missing after failing to arrive at their destination, neighboring Utila Island.
